Anybody know what the maximum milage you would get out of a well maintained D3 before it starts running up big maintenance bills?
We had an MAN truck with over 1,000,000km. Sounds great but the running costs were crazy, actually worked out cheaper just to finance a new truck.

They go that cheap at the auctions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!jeez thats a great deal to be had. SWMBO wants a car soon and was looking at a Jimney, or a Vitara , she loves my D3 but I wont let her take it to work too often. She works as a council tax officer, and her office is above the job centre where all the dossers n wasters go to sign on. last time she took the TD5 to work it had been keyed and Special Brew cans on the bonnet.
At those auction prices we could have 2 D3's

bca, bristish car auctions, end of lease sale, however, I have a secret to confess, I have the inside knowledge of which ones are good and realiable and the ones to stay clear of from the user!!!
This 05 plate was a good realiable workhorse that was kept for emergencies, HA have 06/56 platers coming through over the next few months, they're being de-commisioned over the next few weeks, then appraised by the lease company who will often sell them within the trade instead of sending them off to auction, these ones will all be silver which increases the likelyhood of not going through the auction halls but straight off to the trade.
Going over to Essex later this week, might see if I can get a view on whats being de-commissioned ahead of going back to the lease company, so if you're genuinely keen to have one, pm and I can keep you intouch

For a moment, I thought I'd wandered into the whisky thread. I'll get my coat.
