Seen this attempt at a rip off? |
|
Just saw this whilst browsing on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...2759.l1259
Have emailed the seller to enquire as to whether a genuine mistake has been made. AJ

The seller is Armstrong Massey an authorised LR Dealer.
[I know cos that's where I bought my D3]. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

My apologies - but still think it's a rip off!! |
|
Given that the disk is £149 from the manufacturers (website detailed in vehicle documentation), and that the 2008/2009 disk has been out for some time I feel that advertising 2007/2008 on Ebay for £190 is pushing the envelope as it were! Sorry if others do not agree - I did not want anyone to fall into the trap as now is the time of year when a lot of people look to update.
Regards AJ AJ

Easy answer is to contact Nick @ Yeovil LR - he can discount the website price

Already got mine from Nick, was just browsing Ebay under 'Discovery 3' and saw it on there! Got a cracking discount from Nick and already have it installed (12yo son grabbed it off me and went and did it!). AJ

If you upgrade the nav. disc, don't forget to save any important 'previous destinations' as stored points first - the upgrade process deletes them but you get to keep the stored points

Ohh OK, I wouldn't see that as a rip off, just overpriced. No matter anyway.
TFC, when I put my 08/09 disk in (upgrading from 07/08) It didn't reload the software or erase my recent destinations. Should it have done? If so can I force an update? .

No, that disc is a mapping update only - no SW changes
