LR Experience - Dunkeld
Well having just done my Level 1 at Dunkeld, I felt the need to give them a mention here as it was the best day I have had so far in my life!
Amazing, outstanding, fun, challenging, informative and much much more.
Makes the ½ day seem pretty boring
The trainers at LRE Dunkeld are great, without them the day would have been great but with them they made the day amazing.
Anyone within a couple of hours of Perth (Dunkeld) really should pay them a visit, whether for your 'vouchered' experience or simply as a paying customer.
Not only were the tracks awesome, but the landscape and scenery are simply breath taking and the afternoon was spent up on the Athol Estate driving LRE maintained (if you can call them maintained ) forestry tracks. Most of which you would think twice before WALKING them let alone driving them
The LE Dunkeld centre is within the grounds of the Dunkeld Hilton, so you could even take your partner and let them have a day of pampering whilst you get to grips with a D3.
So a to LRE Dunkeld and thank you very much for an outstanding day.Jim

Glad you enjoyed it. I tried to book a day at Dunkeld at short notice just before Christmas but, sadly, they were full up However, I have taken the chance to go to Finland instead, in a couple of weeks - I'm looking forward to that.

Almost... I'll be there on the 16th, despite living in Leicestershire!
I'm only doing the introduction course, though, and paying for an additional driver... but I am having my doubts; having read the forum for a while, it seems to be the concensus that the full day upgrade is a must. Unfortunately my mate baulked at the upgrade cost!
Had a look at the long-term forecast - apparently there's some snow (possibly) arriving around then, too!!

I'll be going shortly...just waiting in those damned people at LR posting me my bloody vouchers.
Two months into ownership and three phone calls to customer service and the LRE dept.
Not impressed with their service so far.
I was hoping to get this done before the Newbie day, mainly to build confidence in the car and myself.

A thought just occurred to me. My TDV6 is a 55 Pre-Reg - therefore its first owner is the Dealer, not me. Does anyone think this will affect my chances of getting an LRE voucher?Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Hope they've not stopped it, but my voucher has been a bit slow... got the car at the end of Dec 05 and still no voucher. Does anyone know for sure??
Went to Dunkeld after buying my TD5 a few years ago and had a fantastic day.

I was talking to my dealer on the Isle of Wight last week and he said they were stopping the vouchers on car purchases and instead were going to give them out to selected prospective customers, it sounds like when they have got your money they don't get any benefit from it but they are hoping to get a sale out of the voucher.

Got my voucher in this morning and booked up for full day on 21st feb. I really wanted to go on this before the newbie day, so I'd at least know which way to point the car. So now I hopefully will
A bit disappointed over their age policy. Kids must be 12 before they can passenger?! Just as well I never mentioned it to him, but 5yr olds are up for anything as long as its muddy, noisy and a risk of a crash!! 8)
