| Disco 3 new car, old fault !! |
|
We had a spot of rain the other night (weds) and I noticed some water standing on the roller blind but had been in the back so thought it was just water that had blown in. Always the optimist !!
Got up this morning after more heavy rain, more water standing on the blind, also roof lining wet n/r/corner. Pulled down roof lining and rear trim, it lookes like ingress is from the satnav areil blanking plate on the roof. Have removed panel and resealed, now waiting for more rain to see if I've got the .
Is this a common leak or am I just lucky ???

Could be the high level stop light leaking? "A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both- and deserve neither"

Updale on the water leak, thought I'd got the at the first attempt as we had a good downpoor the other and and when I checked the roller blind, all was dry . I then drove to work which is on very twisty country roads, got to work and looked in the back as passing and guest what, water on the roller blind .
Pulled down the roof panel to expose the wiring/screen wash pipe, this time it lookes like its coming in past rubber dromets surrounding the wiring coming from the rear door. There are 2 but it was wet on the n/s one. I removed both and sealed round them and refitted. Now waitng for more rain

Also, just to be thorough, some of the early LR tech literature is incorrect.
The GPS antenna is in the high-mount stop lamp assembly...

The PTI/SDARS antenna is the roof-mounted pod (SDARS is sat radio, avail in NAS)...
