I bought a box from Bell Auto's (site sponser) I haven't seen much of an improvement in MPG but in fairness I am liberal with the load pedal.
It's a nice solution as you get a box and can program/unprogram (for services etc) it yourself. The box also shows any fault codes.
cheers

Chris Tyler, a member of this forum, based around Cork, certainly used to do mapping.
Not entirely sure if he still does, but it might be worth dropping him a PM to see if he's still in the game

I'd recommend contacting 10forcash (site sponsor) about a "Torque Tune" - as with most tuning MPG improves, if you drive it as before. But you'll enjoy the the tune gives that much, you'll probably not see any MPG improvement, but definitely see better performance.

I've got an 06MY. It was done by TorqueTune from new. After 45k miles and 3yrs I certainly can't complain. I believe Chris Tyler is 'yer maan'!!! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

just a quick update, I did the first long run since I loaded the Bell Auto's remap.
Very pleased, 34mpg sitting at 70 on the motorway, dropped to 30 while passing through the Yorkshire Moors but climbed back up on the way home.
Around town and hammering it I get 26-29.
cheers

I got one of Bell Autos boxes just over xmas and heres the verdict
Sorry Pete I've got to say this!
Its F King brilliant
The power different is immediately apparent, so much so my face hurts costantly from smiling
The MPG have definitely been effected, if i drive using up the power MPG has dropped a small bit to about 26mpg and if a conciencious effort is made I can easily now achieve 32/33 MPG, I've really tried hard driving Ms>Daisy and achieved 38mpg , but couldnt even be bothered to try that again, just to put in context, my D3 is 2005, with 175,000 km on its tired shoulders
The box is the clincher, it means i can take the mod off the car when its visiting the stealers, so warranty is not brought into question and mod can be reinstalled within 5min literally
and the whole setup is via e-mail so its simple as can be
Best of all Pete has to be the most customer friendly bloke I've ever delt with
What more can I say

Also appears 9/10 of stopping is stopping in time

Hi
Very interesting.
Mine is also an 05MY.
For interest what did you used to get BEFORE the change?
The best I have ever managed was 27MPG on a long run and normally I am struggling to get 24-25MPG
Cheers,

Indeed!!!!!
Mine is actually a 55 also so this could be a significant improvement for me.
I guess now I need to ask the hard questions of how much it cost?
Also do you need a PC for ANYTHING to do with this?
I am a Mac user and have no access to a PC of any kind.
Cheers.
