Electric fans

Has anyone replaced the thermostatic fan with an electric one?

I did on my defender - only because the viscous fan had a habit of burning out it's clutch. Be careful about the rating of an electric fan . I had to upgrade my alternator , as the fan drew 35 amp when running . IMHO it was worth doing because of the issues I was having , but a viscous fan definitely performs better - so unless you have a very valid reason for changing , I wouldn't
