 My life, how expensive. Used to any old oil before, but my D3 was showing minimum today on its clean today so I thought I would top it up. Minimum 5lts @ £29.99, and I only needed a pint n half to bring from minimum to full 
So I have enough now for 7 years of top ups 
But dont get me started on the poxy dip stick, what a stupid idea that was. Heavy duty cable with blobs of plastic that never give a proper reading. great idea that was

HALFORDS sell the correct spec oil in 1l top-ups. You want the semi-synth ford zetec spec You cannot begin to comprehend the immensity of the  I do not give.

That's where I went Alan, seems like MacLeod was tucked up , oh well better safe than sorry. Not bad though 1.5 pints of oil used in 10 months

Does your dealer not give you a top-up bottle as part of the service?
Mine does this....probably why my service bill is more expensive Not what it was....tbh can't be ar$ed with nonsense anymore

4L or 5L from Halfors usually comes with a good deal - like free screwdriver or socket set
Think I now have three sets of Screwdrivers "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
