Has anyone else had problems with their Crusie Control - mine has just stopped working or although occassionaly and very rarely the cruise control icon will come on, on the dash board??? Any ideas much appreciated...

Had the same problem on my 05 S manual with TR
Just would not work occasionaly, say once a month max.
I never was able to recreate before a service, so don't know what to tell you but "you're not alone !"  l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

tons of stuff on cruise control, just do a search for cruise control. Use "cruise control" (with the double-quotes) to search for an exact phrase

Its more often than not the switch pack and/or wiring behind the airbag. Not usually the rotary coupling, but its not unknown...
