Not sure this can be done - however I think you have to have air suspension - if it were in the uk !!! Went down this avenue with my TD5 - and no joy - D3 not sure!!!!!!!!

on 7 seaters the 2nd row of seats is completely different to the bench on the 5 seater - I would expect this would be an expensive job if it were possible
one of our D3 experts will be along in a bit to give the definitive answerSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
I haven't even got my D3 yet (about a week to go) but I have already been told this can't be done easilly. The 2nd row of sets on a 5-seat D3 do not have the 35/30/35 split, so how would you get into the back?
Since I'm getting my SE Auto 'commercialised' this week, I may have a set of 2nd & 3rd row seats (Ebony leather) for sale.....

thks all fr swift reply, actualy at momement
i don't need them but some times i wish could be there... fr some occasional need, hence i was thinking only
fr the 3rd row fr putting lets say a small child.. or a baby seat and leave
place on the 2nd fr some bigger persons...
p.s: JMC, although mine is alpaca colored, what the price idea could be
either fr the 3rd row only, or fr both 2nd+3rd ???
Gosh!! I wasn't really serious about selling them. Besides, I reckon it would cost a small fortune to send to Greece!! Then there is the seat-belts too....
I wonder what the more experienced readers here would think about a value if I were to sell them. Come on guys, whats the going rate for a full set of brand new ebony leather 2nd & 3rd row complete with all the extra bits from an SE?

Not sure a market value's been found for take out seats yet
Would you not be better storing them until you sold the vehicle (even if it's many years in the future) as replacing the seats later is bound to be more expensive than what you'd get back from the current ones?06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

There are also different side panels between the 5 and 7 seat trims (for seating clearance). The 5 seater has the storage compartment under the floor, instead of the seats. The 7 seater has two additional side curtain air bags.
It would not be fun to retrofit.
