Just wanted to bring this thread up to date.
Sadly despite a lot of time and effort spent trying to identify the required connectors, get a part number and a supplier, i have been unable to.
I have therefore started to look at obtaining a second hand loom / loom set and with a little help from a friend, i have managed this.
see this thread
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic35050.html?
The loom is a little damaged with some stuff cut off it, and i will be fixing and modifying it quite a bit using some other looms as donors. The loom will give me fully electric & heated seats, PDC, hi ice with antennae diversity and much more, but I really hope to get the loom up to premium audio spec levels with PTI as well.
From the pictures on that thread you will probably also note that there are a couple of speakers and the sub woofer there too.
When i fit the woofer to the rear tailgate, i wonder is the cover different on a vehicle with the sub woofer as standard. Ie are there holes or something for it.

The low-line CD-400 radio (mine ) doesn't have a subwoofer.
The high-line 6 CD has a passive subwoofer.
The HK7 has an active subwoofer. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Yup no subwoofer on the low line, in fact the speakers and head unit you get are cr p.
I think they make the sound so bad you will want to pay the extra for the better stereo. "A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both- and deserve neither"
