So will it be possible to update a D3 with a D4 front?
Just wondering whilst looking at the pictures of the D4 will a front upgrade be possible?

Apparently not. Something about the length of the front wings HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

So to get this right. If I want to have some nice LED lights I need, everything from the windscreen forward. That is never worth it. If it only required a front nose job that could be tolerated. But to change the whole front of the car is just daft I tell you. Just daft HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Not definitely. It's just something that I've read/heard somewhere. I could be wrong though. Usually am HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

I think its only been 'reported' on the forum TBH.
Looking at the press images I can't easily see that they are shorter. And TBH, no other sheet metal has been changed as far as I am aware, so why change the wings ?
Headlight shape is different to account for the new grill, and of course the bumper is re-profiled.

I've just twisted my neck. Can anyone recommend how to put it back?
Oh, and no, you can't lick your own elbow
Think the wings just look different because the top/rear of the bumper slopes in a different way to the D3.
Mind you, the panel is different .... fake vent Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

I never knew that about your elbow, but your right.
I bet the Simmonite offer a upgrade kit evenutally like they did for the D2 to the new light shape etc

My March order for a particular colour MY09 had to be changed/cancelled due to the colour being discontinued for MY10. I assumed therefore that bodies painted in colours that were being continued were able to be used for either model, which would mean that the bodies are unchanged.

On the 09's I seen, the panels are all different colours anyway!
The D4 wing does look shorter on a lot of photo's - like the headlight wraps around further? You can spot it because the front wheel arch now meets the bumper/headlight join. It doesn't look like much but when you remember the headlight now stops higher, that's quite a bit shorter....ie there's almost no gap here as circled in the photo.

Bear in mind though that the top pic there is a computer generated image, and the bottom one is an actual vehicle
