What to be aware of when buying Disco 3? |
|
I am strongly considering to buy a Disco 3, models from 2005 - 2008. What should I be aware of when considering different models? Any recommendations? Any advice?
Any bad experiences with certain models?
I only need 2 seats in the car, and the only criteria besides that, is a low mileage.
Thank you for any response.

Welcome
Full Service History
Every 12months regardless of Mileage
or
Every 15k regardless of months
Maintaining one of these Beauties takes some annual money, so some may in the past have tried to scrimp of this..............these are the ones to avoid

Has there been any change of specs for the model range of 2005-2008? Any upgrades that I need to be aware of?

Yes, alot of changes...................Early D3's of same Rear Door Badge did differ in some later same Badged D3's...
Basically All the D3's except the COILER BASE SPEC, had most of the footprint toys, but if you go for a early HSE some toys still could have been spec'd at Build.
You would think a Early HSE would have Integrated Phone system and Rear Aircon, but alas it was on a Options list...

Like you I'm looking to buy a Disco3. Only changes I've found so far are for the HSE model :-
New soft leather introduced in 2008 (I think)
Updated software applied in 2006 (but can be applied to older cars)
Also just found the wiki - http://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Model_Years

Premium Leather is worthy of going for a Later Model.........................tis NICE , sadly I just have the older style leather, and a Premium Leather Heated steering wheel....
It does'nt really matter if you go for a Lower Spec'd SE with Leather. Most of the HSE toys can be added at a later date, and the SatNav/4x4 Info can be enabled by many a kind person with the kit on here

I Imagine Norway SE/HSE specs are a bit different to UK specs..... I would certainly make sure its got a cold climate pack on it heated leather seats a bit of a must for me.
This is a car i would not buy without a warranty.... Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
