nice video pitting a D3 against a LAV (Light Armoured Vehicular) that are the tools of trade for the antipodeans Recce troops.

I got to drive the ASLAV in 1997 when on exchange to the Aus army fantastic driving cross-country and a good gun system but had two-three punctures a day (they use plugs to temp fix in the bush), and bent a couple of tyre rods (connecting bar under wish bones).
so good to drive pain to keep on the road four wheels - Buckingham Blue SE, tints, PTI, (SOLD)

You mean the huge pit across the concrete? Take a look at the 2m 50s mark when the LAV does it - there's a big puff of smoke where even that hits something...!
I liked the hill descent at the end too. Both went down in a controlled fashion, but I'm not sure either could have actually stopped once they were moving!
