Help on wiring still not sure
If somebody has twin tow electrics and a few minutes, can they measure the output of the pins on the S type socket and tell me what the voltages are with the ignition on but the engine not running. I have got 12v, but the two switched outputs are 10.5v until the engine is running when they rise to 14V. Is this correct ?
Picking up the tintent tomorrow, so would like to test it before I plug it in.
Thanks

Tin Tents !!!
Bit late to sort tonight but I'm about after 9.30 tomorrow and can have a look then if your still stuck.. What pins are you measuring across?
Sounds like it's just floating when ign off, needs a small load especially if it's solid state switching not relay (TFC, Wiggs?) I'll PM you my mobile No.
Just run on N socket for trip home if not happy, that's all the lights that matter!
Cheers, Richard.Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

countrywide your wiring sounds correct the two switched outputs that run at 14v (pin 2 and pin 6) when engine running are for the caravan battery charging/fridge while in transit (run off car battery/charging system).
When engine is stopped with ignition on these are trickle feed to stop the draining of the car battery ie these two facilities will not work as they require 12v or more. However pin 2 is not currently used on uk caravans and may be used as an earth on imported caravans. Happy tintenting !!livin the dream baby !
