RRSport 19" Wheels

Guys

There are at least 6 brand new sets of RRS HSE 19" Wheels on Ebay with tyres at around £550. Very Happy
Seems a good deal but I'm aware that the tyres are 50 profile rather than 55. Is this a problem?
Will it not just increase the acceleration and knock a little of the top speed?
Bearing in mind new tyres for the 3 are £150 each.
Shocked

LR3 and RRS are virtually the same vehicle. The difference between 50 and 55 will not be noticable.

It is just about ok. A variance of 3% against design size is the suggested maximum.

The impact will result in your speedo showing a slightly higher speed that you are actually doing.

I've just put a set of RRS 19's on mine, but I have changed the tyres to 255/55x19's, as the load rating on the 50 series tends to be 107, where as you need 111 for the disco 3, which the 55 series are.

Also, the RRS 19's are 9.5 inch wide compared with the disco 3 19's being 8inch wide. The RRS 19's do fit, but the clearance to the front suspension uprights is quite close, but is OK.
