Low coolant level warning?
I've noticed that I get a 'Low Coolant level' warning on starting up, but this isn't borne out by a visual inspection of the reservoir which shows that it's fine.
The float in the reservoir is faulty and needs replacing t'is a common problemPot Noodle Challenge Winner 2011

Very common problem, most were changed under warranty in their early years.TDV6 HSE - Light Guards - White Reflective Sticker

ISTR that the replacements parts weren't that expensive so worth changing sooner rather than later even if out of any warranty.Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD

do not just replace the sensor !!!! it is not the sensor thats faulty it is the floating magnet inside the coolant bottle thats the fault, full coolant bottle comes with sensor fitted and only costs around £17 genuine.
swapping easy just clamp hoses remove bottle , fit bottle unclamp hoses and top up! takes around 10mins.
I did try the sensor option first, the fault turns out to be the floating magnet absorbs coolant over time and this does not help it with its floating abilaty.

Thanks for that. Sounds like an easy fitting job even for a numpty like me.
errr.. 10 minute job, I'm an hour in and still trying to figure out how to get the bottom hose off - did you disconnect all the other hoses 1st to get access ???
Not a 10 minute job in my humble opinion... also had to disconnect hoses to diesel heater to get at that bottom hose on the tank..... life would be much easier with a workshop manual - any sign of one coming ?
