i've used these on a volvo crosscountry on piste in austria for a magasine test,
they're actually VERY good, they work in the same way skins do on touring ski's.
they'd be good for D3 if you're not using at tyres... one wife.......livid

They look handy. I'm guessing the safe thing would be to have 4, and would you need to keep taking them on and off, as we certainly havnt got 100% snow cover on all the roads.

Got a pair for the Disco and they worked a treat on a steep hill with compacted snow/ice that was a challenge without them. Front tryes only. Easy to get on and off. £60-odd from memory - tried to get a set for the other cars this week but they've all sold out.
Well worth the money.

I dont get on with them.
On Mrs CnW car, we binned them and got proper chains.
For deeper snow they were useless. Mind you you might say I should have driven her car in the first place, but we were a two car convoy, 1) had proper chain, we had autosock, guess who struggled alot.

you must take them off as soon as the snow stops, BUT they are so quick and easy to get on/ off that's it's no bother.
coldnwet. did you have them on the right way round? one wife.......livid

I'm very interested in these. I wish I could watch the demo video but my Mac will not play it. I'll have to give it a try on my PC. 2000 Discovery 2 Kent Green (totaled) R.I.P.
