OOPs!! Flat battery. The LR Assistance guy was very nice and had quite a chat, he asked lots of questions about the car and this site (he saw the sticker!) He has only delt with 4, 2 with hoses come off and 2 with suspension problems. At the moment they are in D2 but they are changing the fleet to D3

He had a power booster thing that was on for a short time, I then started the car and ran it for an hour. At the time I was getting transmission and park break failures. He explained that voltage fluctuations affect the computer which records false errors. The voltage was 11 volts, but I don't know if this is that low. It was nice to talk to a guy who seemed to know what he was talking about but was interested to listen at the same time. Felt a right prat, but came away with a stronger feeling for the service.

This ties in with my cars visit to the dealer last week. They fitted a new battery because they told me that low voltage causes the random errors I am seeing.

Oh boy, now it appears we will need a battery condition monitor in the car. Have you guys seen the size of the D3 battery, it is a 110 amp hr which is the size I have on my motorhome and that is on the auxilliary side, not the vehicle side. Will have to plug into the Nat Grid soon Shocked
