Pathetic, childish and lame from the very first post. Funny, seems to have been some common denominators when one considers other posts when new suppliers have come along...
Which, to me, is a complete shame for all of us and the site as a whole.
(Oh well...probably just pigeon-holed myself with this post. But I'm starting to get miffed with some of the posts, snide comments, put-downs and thinly veiled remarks ) The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."

Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

You mentioned Merc though . No problem with the bushes, does make a difference when fitted.

Well, I'll keep you company in your pigeon hole JF
What started out as an admittedly unfortunate post by a sponsor on another forum (albeit one that I don't think had any malice or bad intention to it ), a little light ribbing was started.....up to here, all valid banter on any forum.
But it then got stupid and personal by people that really had nothing to do with the actual issue in hand...
Thread was rightfully locked, only for it to be continued....
This forum has had some great developments lately - with sponsor co-operation being one of the highlights that mean good things for lots of users....
However, things like this threaten to put a stop to that. As CW says.....dissappointing 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Sorry Martin, I wasn't trying to ignite the argument as it has nothing to do with the content of the discussion. Sometimes these discussions are best carried out in private. Doing it on a public forum is akin to going out in the street and shouting at each other and then sticking a poster up on the village notice board with a transcript of what happened for everybody else to see.

But we can't take you seriously Martin. You're bright orange and have a silly green hat
On a brighter note, another day dawns and we're all still here. Other stuff is less important, no? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I agree that doing this in public is not the right place. It definitely seemed to me that posts were added just to ignite a reaction. Not the sort of thing I want to be part of. I wonder why the moderators didn't stop it sooner. Isn't that the point of moderators? Anyway that's another argument.
I've read the statement and it does seem that a few childish people have left Neil and Gary feeling bullied, well, well done you must be feeling very proud. It's pathetic and just like being back in the school playground. Everytime they say something people jump on them without knowing the facts.
Personally I'd like to thank Gary and Neil for my plate and ladder, they are both excellent and I think you did a great thing by producing great products at a great price. I only met Neil and Gary in the last few months and they are both decent upstanding guys who would do anything for anyone. Well maybe not anyone any more. They don't deserve the treatment that they have had by a few lamentable individuals.
The forum seems to have taken a turn for the worse; there definitely seems to be a few people who are so full of themselves that they cannot accept anyone else having an opinion. Then when they are criticised they try to hide behind their thinly veiled comments, protesting their innocence, well guys, wake up, the vast majority of D3 owners are reasonably intelligent and can see through it.
It’s a shame to see the forum that Martin has created abused in this way. D3 HSE MY05 Auto
