Dipped beam upgrade
Can't afford xenon headlamp upgrade and quite like the look of bumper mounted spotlamps anyway.
However that fixes the main beam issue but the dipped beam is still a bit weak. Is there any bulb change (or anything else for that matter) to improve matters. Have thought about these aftermarket "xenon" bulbs. I know they are not 'proper' in that they have no capacitor or increased voltage and I'm not looking for the "yoof boy racer look" with a blue hue that just dazzles oncoming cars but they all claim brighter and improved light depth, especially on dipped beam.
Any mileage in getting a pair or just a waste? If the latter, what are the alternatives?
Philips X-treme power are very good. Consistent filament placement and therefore good spread/use of the reflector, unlike some of the Yongting Velly Lighting Plus company ones on ebayI know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Osram Nightbreakers seem to be quite popular with the folks on here - so I'm going to try them! The ebay shop prices were much less than their on line shop if you find the guys from Wakefield......

Replaced the bulbs in the dipped lights with a pair of Piaa's, though not cheap at £50. rated as 55w, but giving off the light of 110w bulbs.
