can you remove the ridged part of the rear bumper ??????????do you have to remove the bumper to do so ?????????????

If it's the Rigid bit on the top of the rear bumper you mean then I think it just hooks / clips in which im sure can be done without removal of bumper

On the rigid part they just have a series of plastic lugs which hook into slots in the bumper.
Using a screwdriver to carefully prise up starting at a corner should do the trick

It's a little while since mine was off and it was on my old bumper but if you were to look at the rigid plastic strip then I think there was three or four lugs on the front and the same on the other side closest to the tailgate.
I'm sure it just clips in and just needs a gentle lift with a screwdriver , you will get a feeling as to where the lugs are once you start trying to lift the trim.

as I recall, push it forward as you prise the rear.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
