| Dartmoor Today (Mar 31 2010) |
|
Went up on Dartmoor as there was a little snow.
While up there I took a couple of pics.

Also went past the gritter which had come off the road earlier.

My wife is up on Dartmoor doing an all-day hike with a school trip. They really know how to pick 'em!

Yes it was up near princetown, well really between Postbridge and the Warren house inn.
The gritter looked like they had tried to pull off the road onto the verge (which is only about car width, and just pulled over too far. Just toppled down the 3-4ft bank.
Mostly the conditions weren't too bad, but over the highest point it was quite low vis due to the wind blown snow, and about 4 inches deep. Good fun, but had to be sensible as i was on my own, and off to work later that afternoon.
