Where do those that have the conversion have their LPG tanks installed?
And if in the spare wheel space, what have you done with the wheel?

Sorry, bit late on picking up on this thread as I live in central Italy with my LPG converted V8 D3.
The conversions was done last March (2011) and I must have clocked at least 20k miles in the year - mostly pulling a large twin-axle caravan. My conversion was done by 4-tech (thanks Gordon) who also did the first service.
I also bought a thin spare which I carry when not towing. The spare goes into a bag (supplied by 4-tech) and sits in the boot. When I take the full-size spare I ratchet-strap it upright in the boot and leave the roller cover behind.
Great system, and gas is only 72 cents here, so I reckon I get the equivalent of 35 petrol MP.

I've seen an LPG conversion where the LPG tank fits in the space left by removing one of the folding rear seats. Of course it then becomes a 6 seater, but it was neat conversion and no loss of full size spare or concerns when off-roading.
Iirc, it was on a G4 V8 D3.
