Met up today with Brian T, Dave T & Navigator (Stuart). Had a little play around, got some nice still images (still to sort through them) and some videos (still to convert & upload).

Excellent Day out Alan.
Even after all the screaming SWMBO and my 5 year old thouroughly enjoyed it.
As for the Photo of me in the water.if you magnify you can just make out my permagrin.
All in all a fantastice day out apart from the "Weekend civil servant."
Was also a pleasure meeting Dave(theres no stopping me now)T.and Navigator.

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself Brian and the Mrs too., that's the main thing, keeping SWMBO happy.
That photo's not full size and you can clearly see the grin on your mug on the original. Mind send me you email addy and i'll send you the originals a few at a time as some are quite largish.
Have one video clip edited, still to find a soundtrack that won't get pulled be You Tubes copyright faffing and then upload it to you tube. It could take a time to upload the clip to you tube, i'll let you's know`. ATB

A couple of my photos as well of the good day out. Some of them show, for those who don't know the site, just how big and empty it is. No narrow lanes to worry one here - instead worry about whether you will ever find your way back!
Hard to believe looking at these pictures that there was a 4x4 club having a free-for-all driving day there at the same time we were there. You could not even hear them!

Looks like great fun, man I want a D3 so much. I got so excited this morning when I had an email from the National Lottery. Sadly Im still about £15k short though, although £10 closer than I was last night. Discovery 2 TD5 GS Auto

On board following Dave, Navigator & Brian.
This first area is usually impassable for those of us with side steps on. Tried it already in the reverse of what you see here, but in the wet. The vehicle just wants to slide sideways as you go through the cut out and you get wedged by the side steps.

Well, that only took 4 hrs to upload as a 1.6 Gb file. ATB

Brian, if you look at the very start of the first clip, you can see the hill we were heading for straight in front of me, the camera. ATB

Jings, those deep sides look a bit scary, not sure I'd venture into bits like that again. Although I have proven that big dents in doors self-heal.
