I think you might be surprised how much it would spread the force of an impact ...it doesn't push into the vehicle as it is mounted directly onto the front crossmember so it would act as a big rubber buffer (and it has a solid core) Wink

BTW I like the look of it on the D4 Thumbs Up

Can you post some more pictures close up and from the side, may be the way the photo is taken but it looks like it sits above the bonnet.
