problems started around a month ago, with my sunroof not working. last week driving down from santander to the algarve the car broke down about 60 miles from santander, message- engine system faults, car went into limp mode. anyway 12 hrs later car supposedly repaired(software glitch) completed my drive, yesterday faults started including aircon/blower stop starting on and off continuously, along with the externaql temp gauge, also cant control left side windows and mirror form drivers door controls and now the car wont reconize either key hence cant lock, start or drive. any advice or should i call landrover europeean breakdown??

Sorry to hear of your troubles; phoning LRA is still a good plan, but:-
You should be able to lock/unlock the car by the lock, accessed by removing the passenger door cap and using the blade within the key fob!
You can try to start the car by holding the key in the special position which sholud have a mark to indicate the correct place under the steering column.
Hope you get it all sorted.
Mark.

Thanks for the responses, i will give it a bash! hopefully the disco will start and will get me to the nearest dealership or i will call LRA! have heard that removing fuse no.17, resets the communication interface with the computer.

Try disconnecting the battery, and leave it disconnected for 10-15 minutes.

Hhhmmmmm................interesting!My car did the self same "engine system fault" and limp home mode thing in France on friday night during a long drive back from Italy. Managed to trick it out of limp home mode and get back to the UK. The Tech has been out this morning and there is a fault logged that says something along the lines of "injector control module" that cannot be reset and must go to the dealer. My car also seems to be making some odd noises from the air intake.
Will let you know what they say about mine.
Incidentally LRA is no longer handled by Mondiale, but is now AA. seems to be all the same techs doing JAG and LR though. The guy who came out today is like a mate I've seen him so many times over the years 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

New car more like!! They would have to take it apart down to the floor to replace the loom. An insurance company would probably write it off. Yet another Stornoway XS, common as muck
