| Problem with Moonroof blinds |
|
The keep on snapping open when moving......anyone had this problem and has a home-made solution? It's my only gripe in 2000km of ownership....
Thanks! D3/TDV6/HSE Auto/Tonga Green/Alpaca - stolen by my wife now (and she's dinked it! )

Mine are nice & secure, definately not opening on the move. Might be those rough Swiss roads.

Not had them open by themselves, but did have to adjust the front one to stop it rattling. Club 18 - 30 (I wish !!)

I've resolved my problem by using small square sticky 3M pads; these transparent things sold in sheets about 8mm x 8mm squares which are about 4mm deep.
Two stuck together and then stuck to the roof under the plastic strip seems to have brought the strip down enough to better-clamp the blind.
Fingers crossed D3/TDV6/HSE Auto/Tonga Green/Alpaca - stolen by my wife now (and she's dinked it! )

if anyone's interested, my gallery has a single close-up of the solution I found to the problem:
You don't quite see the clear plastic flap that guides and pushes down the clip on the blind - but in turn pushing down the flap has made the blind more secure. D3/TDV6/HSE Auto/Tonga Green/Alpaca - stolen by my wife now (and she's dinked it! )
