| Simple (No GVIF) reverse sense |

Is there any other possibility of having the +12V reverse sense except for the reversing lights somewhere at the front (fuse box etc) ? I would like to save me another wire from back to front (after market screen). D3 LE James Cook, 2,7 TDV6 auto

Yup make a piggy back connection to the fuse for reversing lights which is located in the passenger compartment fusebox behind the lower glove box....

Im getting ready to this, and was wondering if i could set the camera to come on when in reverse, but also set it so i can switch it on manually when towing for example, so i could see the trailer? 2007 Discovery 3 2.7 TDV6 HSE

On one or two of the early threads the question was asked if the camera can be tilted to look at the towbar, yes it can, the way i did this was to take the camera apart (carefully). Cut the camera casing on the side and rear and push the rounded part into the housing... Once this is done it changes the viewing angle, once the angle was set i glued it all back together with a hot gun, once fitted to the car it clearly shows the towbar and makes hitching so much easier...the only downside is the view is not as far back.... Depends on what you need it for... Once i get back from North Wales i'll upload some photos.... If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

Have fitted similar camera to my Disco 3 but wired live feed off number plate light and fed signal to drop down monitor I had already fitted to roof lining. Already had fitted the monitor to take feeds from my caravan where I have three cameras mounted one at back and one each side - saves the chief getting out when I have to reverse Am able to see the towbar which also saves chief directing me - sort of

Hi Mjom,
The answer is yes, I have a setup in my car which does exactly that. You need some additional wiring and obviously a switch. If you do a search on gvif on here there are several threads with install instructions. If you can't find it, post here and I'll try to draw up what I have installed.

Hi Santi,
Many on here have that kind of camera including myself.
It is a very nice addition but for the D3 you will need a gvif unit for it to work.
Ian at Hids4U will help you with all you want to know.
