new cop cars
i was over at lancashire contabulary hq this afternoon (yes i am a cop, but someone has to do it) and stumbled across half a dozen new v8 's' d3's in zermatt silver. two had already been liveried and fully kitted out. i dont feel so bad at them cutting my overtime budjet now knowing that the cash saved is fueling the v8's.
i got some photos s will try to upload. not quite as impessive a sight as the 30 d3's lined up after last years labour party conference but i wasnt an owner then, just a dreamer.
Hi Buzz,
Saw two silver liveried D3's in full gear but with blues covered up on the M6 heading north past J28 on Monday - very early (5:15am).
Gave me a bit of a shock at first because I was errr... catching them up rapidly, making the most of a clear road and an early start in my usual trip up to Inglewhite from Way on Hye....
Looked good in silver (did I really just say that about a fuzz box?) and a whole heap better than the horrible highways agency white ones..
Will have to remember to add these to my list that includes the unmarked Silver Range Rover and the Grey Subaru Impreza that the Traffic boys use up here.... makes a change from the Astra Diesels that the Heddlu boys in Powys have....!!
Cheers,

you can cross th FFRR off your list of rear view motors cause they're never out of the local dealers long enough to do any work.
if its any consilation i have a similar look out list as my current membership doesnt have the privilages it used to "honest gov, i'm in the job, please dont give me a ticket". say that now and you forego the fixed penalty and go straight to court for attempting to pervert the course of justice!!!!!!

nothing more scary than the sight of a police D3 with lights on coming at you at speed from your rear view mirror ... puts the -s up you every time .... the volvo t5's use to have this effect on me before but the discos are way worse

Very good... probably true - but still saw it go past me at 80 as if I was stood still - going after a black Boxster just before the Carnforth junction last Thursday... not a sight I'd want bearing down on me..
Know what you mean about withdrawal of privileges - it used to be if a minor infringement you could flash the card (mine military type) and get away with it as long as you hadn't off traffic that week...
Nowadays - no chance - if anything they throw the book harder and faster...!
