I took a corner a bit faster than normal, control of the beast was fine but a single audible chime caught my attention. No corresponding light came up on the dash so I was bemused by the 'warning'.
Another corner with good speed and plenty of roll gave me a repeat - a single chime but no lights.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
I did have a fairly heavy bag on the passenger seat but the seatbelt warning gives multiple chimes not just one.
I was also running with lower than usual oil levels - I was on the way to the garage to buy some! Si

Yer, i'd agree with that, DSC cutting in - the chime is a bit distracting though.... just when you need all your attention on the road TorqTune

mine only seems to chime when on - road, never heard it do it off road (maybe also concentrating too much ) although turning the stereo up usually helps TorqTune

I had the same problem, got me worried as I couldn't figure it out. It was the seatbelt warning, but only making one chime. I had a light package on the passenger seat. Needs adjusting, but it can wait until the first service.

Thanks for all the answers. I didn't notice any DSC logo on the message centre so I wonder if it was a seatbelt thing like LT suggested?
Time to experiment and see if I can repeat the 'problem'. Si

I would imagine its your seat belt warning... the sensor is quite sensitive. Even applying a little pressure to the passenger seat base will set off a bing.
The constant annoying bing bing bing happens if you don't put your belt on and drive off... or take it off before the D3 has stopped.

Mine too! And what a glorious day that was!
It's bad enough being stuck on the beach, without a constant boing, boing, boing... Have a nice day!

Defineately seat belt warning - corners seem to bring up the one-chime warning and no light indicator. Switch off the seat belt chime and try again! iDiot Bater
