Ebony seats are my first choice aesthetically for seat shade.
However, I have a concern that since I live in Southern California, it can get warm and I don't want the seats to become extremely hot. Black attracts heat.
For those with the Ebony seats, do they become really warm when the temperatures are high?

Not being a scientist or thermal engineer but I'd guess they would get as hot as the greenhouse/car that they are fitted in. Club Exped trailer

I have childhood memories of getting burns on the back of my bare legs (in shorts!) from being forced into the family car (a Hillman Hunter estate) with black vinyl seats and that was even in Scotland so I'd say yes, black seats will get hotter.
Thankfully, Land Rover have you covered here if you go for the option parking heater because I believe that you can use it to cool the car down before you get into it.

Only slight difference in temp of the vehicle with ebony here in Oz. Window tinting will make much more difference than colour. Comes down to aesthetics and practicality of the colour. "A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both- and deserve neither"
