hope you can find your lifted coils for your D3. A 2-3" lift is the maximum allowed for the D3, as it makes the transmission work at limit operation angles (and you won't want to break anything). It's a piece of cake.
As for my D3, i have to call the dealer back today to see if the burgundy auto TDV6 is available. Yesterday it wasn't (waiting for a tow ball). Maybe I can test it today or on tuesday. More than a loaner, it's the dealer's boss own car. The loaner is black SE-spec manual which I already tested.
By the way, yesterday I picked up my D2 V8 from the workshop (42,000 mile service) and was astounded how similar the ride to the TdV6 manual was. Acceleration was smooth but powerful, not so abrupt as my Td5 is. I'm beginning to think the Cairns Blue TdV6 HSE auto is the way to go....
