| Cleaning the glass roof on a HSE |
|
After cleaning the car inside and out I find it annoying to look up and see water marks on the glass roof.
Getting the first one is easy enough but the one at the back is a pain to reach.
I find if you open both sections of boot and then close the top half you can stand on the lower part and do a proper job with no hassle. No need for roof ladders and better then trying to balance on the tyre to reach,
Don't know if people do this already or if its only me that is a bit OCD when it comes to cleaning my car but I thought I would share it anyway

add some dish washer rinse aid to a bucket of water - chuck it over the roof then go for a short drive - the roof will dry "smear free"
until it rains
so best to just get used to the smears Duncan

Hiya, I bought a window cleaner with extendable handle and a 5" square piece that swivels, it comes with
micro-fibre cloths that fit over the swivel bit and a spray bottle that you put water in, thats all thats needed.
I can do the screen inside from drivers seat just using water works perfect, removes all stains from air con,
nicotine etc, it was about £7 from autofactors in Leyland, I just put micro-fibre cloths in washer when they
get dirty. Always walk behind a Shooter and

I used Carlack Glass sealant on my roof,(like rain X) once clean, I clayed it then treat it with this so after a short drive it's blown dry
Or you could buy a cheap leaf blower to blow the water from your roof, and the rest of the car
