Unfortunately the pictures speak volumes, why you would spray that amount of waxoyl over the wheels like that? Youve got to assume that the person who did the job was either very clumsy or didnt really know what they were doing....i dont think it possible for anyone to be that clumsy so i guess the latter is the only assumption!!
There is something which has always bothered me with waxoil, is it really a good idea to be pressure washing a vehicle off and then putting the treatment over the top, is the vehicle going to be totally dry before application in which case could be doing more harm than good?

Interesting that the vast majority of moans that I've seen online seem to be issues with customer service, rather than quality of work. My guess is if something like the following had been written, complety disarming the guy complaining, it wouldn't have made it on to here...
"We're really very sorry that you're not completely happy with the service we gave you. We pride ourselves on the level of work we do, and regret that in your case, our level of work was not up to our usual standard.
We're very keen to resolve this to your complete satisfaction. Therefore please do let us know when we can arrange to have your vehicle collected and retreated followed by an exterior valet. If you are not completely satisfied after this treatment, we will remove all Waxoyl from you vehicle and refund your costs in full.
Please accept our apologies and commitment to put this right. I enclose vouchers for ... for M&S." TDV6 SE Auto, Cairns Blue, Club AT2, Club Lenser, Club Trangia, Club Labrador, Club Chainsaw, Club Yorkshire

Having read all the previous postings, can anybody recommend a rust proofer in the Essex or surrounding counties that is competent at rust proofing. I do not want the wheels or rubber bits covered, but feel that behind the plastic wheelarch liners and spare wheel etc should be done. Suggestions please.

If you want a pukka job then Rustmaster are at Hatfield, Herts, which is close enough.
Had my D2 done there, very pleased, will get D3 done when have the money. Luckily the previous owner has had it done so can wait a bit.
There are various well known indies across the county such RST, Mansfield etc who will be able to do it but don't spend all their time rustproofing. Tony

Ive seen cars done locally at the garage i use and they steam clean the car underneath first then remove wheels and mask everything off and spray it on
You could of done a better job laid on your back
I have seen some shocking waxoyl work though to hide numerous sins to get through an MOT more waxoyl than steel in some cases

Sorry to say I read this thread today. I wish I had read it 6weeks ago. The guy in question is a nightmare. My vehicle was exactly as gasman describes. He retreated it and also gave me £100 as I came from Scotland to Rugby. However, his second application was again very unsightly. My alloys have taken me a while to restore and I had to remove oversparay from virtually every body panel. The guys lifts also broke down and I was delayed 2hours in 2degrees C temperatures while he tried to sort them out.
The guy is totally useless and intrestingly used the same arguments to me as he did to gasman.
How can he be stopped ?? He continues to advertise and slag other people off with his 'trade Secrtes' stance
My car is certainly in need of a full clean which shall do in the Spring.
My advice DO NOT USE Before and After. Disco 1 200tdi, Td5 x2, Range Rover 200tdi, P38, Defender 90, D3 (05) D3 (57) Freelander( Yuch !!!) D4 ...Mmmm

Hi Jedi, sorry to hear about your second experience. Did you speak to him about taking off the wheelarch liners to spray behind ? Maybe better not to use his company name, as he has a bad reputation for "input" on forums Everybody on here knows who he is, and it may save Martin any aggro.

I work with a guy, worked with him 10 years. In all that time, I've never known him to be happy with anything he has paid for. But he is happy with the job he got at Nene! A dog is truly man's best friend, Don't believe me? Well lock your wife and your dog in the boot of your car and 2 hours later open it and see who's happy to see you

If you read all the thread he tells you himself who he is. (chrissy ???) I wouldn't trust him to remove the wheel arch liners so i will do it myself later.
i think all we can do is warn people and hope they are forum members. I just feel sorry for other LR owners who go to him. It is giving waxoila bad name, but I am sure there are good people out there. Perhaps we should havea recommended list on the forum for all services.
