| Picking up new car part 2 |
|
Hi Guys, thanks for all your comments about picking my new car up on Friday, much appreciated. When I parked the car last night I locked it, then put the keys in my house and went out. On passing by the car I decided to check the flashing red LED on the alarm system (just to see if it was working) and I noticed the parking brake warning light was still illuminated in the speedo, I did not have time to check it out, but on my return home it was extinguished ??? Is this normal/anything to worry about ???

The night I got mine I did exactly the same and thought there was a fault. I think you can become a litte paranoid when you have read all the potential faults on here! Judging by recent comment it appears that the 2006 models are less (I did say less) prone to some of the common faults reported. www.busyoutdoors.com

Thanks for the replies, it was just something that I am not used to, lights staying on once the ignition key has been removed. Remember, the car I traded in against this new one was a 9 year old Discovery 1 300Tdi, the difference between the two cars is like night and day and I am on a VERY steep learning curve. I simply am not used to all the electronic systems, but with some help from this forum and reading the manual I am sure we will get there, thanks again.
