Does anyone else use MM on ipad?

I tried to use mine for the first time last weekend and it wanted to connect to the internet every time I hit the GPS locate button - made it useless as I had no connection.

Edit: I'm trying to use an iPad2 - GPS seems to work fine for Apple's map app

Slightly OT, as I don't want to start a new thread.

I just ordered from the Apple store last night - an ipad 2, 16gb wifi.
[only costing me £299 btw Wink ]
I didn't get the 3g version because I'd seldom use it and because of my phones capabilities ???
My HTC Desire HD is supposed to act as a 'hot spot' for a laptop etc
So I'm taking it that I can get 3g on my ipad via my HTC - am I correct ?
Thumbs Up

It looks like this might be an alternative (only available in the US, but I go there a lot): http://www.amazon.com/Dual-Electronics-XGP...B004M3BICU

I've done it from an iPhone; I believe it's a universal standard so you shouldn't have any problems.

Yes - I use my Desire HD as a wifi hotspot for both my laptop and/or CarPC all the time.
