Just trying to convince myself it's not that bad on fuel after putting £100 in it last night. Oh well better than the 20mpg i'm getting out of my transit. Just as well i've got a company fuel card for that. Crackin for the clubcard points
Tanters, she's probably scalped the roof in the multi story

A long downhill or a serious tailwind!! Have had that (actual, trip said 36 ISTR) on a 400 mile 75mph cruise but it was with a southerly pushing me up the M6!! 27mpg is more reasonable/normal. TOMDOB manual or auto?

It's an auto. I don't thing there that bad on fuel for a car that weigh's nearly 3 tonne. I will be going to Aviemore next month with the tin tent. That will be interesting. I haven't towed with it yet.

You are going to LOVE it!!! It is the most capable towcar I have experienced in 25 years of tintenting!!! Run silent, run deep!! HM Submarines Conqueror, Churchill, Renown, Ocelot, Porpoise, Onslaught.
Oh Lord! send down a dove, with wings as sharp as razors.

I'm looking forward to the trip. We've got a twin axle swift conqueror which i used to pull with a TD4 freelander. It's 450miles to aviemore which used to be a long slog with the freelander. It was on our way back in october that we decided to get the disco.
As long as I can get there, it can snow as much as it likes!!

Great towcar - we get about 21-22 mpg towing albeit only a 14ft tintent

After bunging in a pack of Redex fuel system cleaner, I've reached the heady heights of 24.8mpg.
Where will it all end?

So, my V8 which says 10.5MPG is actually getting less? As in single digits?
Why oh why is the V8 LR3 the only option here in the States!
And 10.5MPG is with conservative driving. I hate to see how much it'll drop when towing / stuck in traffic in the summer.
