Goffie - Hope you don't mind me asking.....
I'm guessing the car's 'in stock' somewhere? Just out of interest did you have much choice of cars in stock, and was it a national search or were you just lucky with a specific dealer?
Cheers.

Yep Guy Salmon who i had the D3 off were my first dealer as they were on the way home. Appreciate not many vehicles about with 3/4 month delivery times. Coventry had just had 3 off XS in which had been ordered 6 months ago. Probably still 2 left.

Thanks - that's interesting, especially as one regularly gets the impression that stealers want potential owners to think that there are none in stock and that one would be privileged to get a build slot for delivery in 4 months time; no discount, etc, etc.
I got cars that were in stock when I bought both my D3s, but that was in 2006 and 2008. I appreciate that the times they maybe are a changin' but I've always been happy to compromise on spec' for a good deal and early delivery (which was same day, in 2006!) and preferred it that way.
I guess that no snow = fewer orders
Enjoy your D4!!

Just fell lucky for a change. Choice of 3 xs they had just taken delivery of after a 6 month wait. All came with I Pod lead,Full size spare ,Black wood pack and i had the on with reversing camera and got them down £1600 on list price without paying for the extras as well. I delayed the delivery till 1st March for new plate and they offered me £3k more for my motor than they did 12 month ago and it has another 20K on the clock.

Biggests sales growth is China,Russia,North America and together with Ford restricting engine supply im afraid Allocation of vehicles to GB is low down on Tata,s priorities.

I know that with Merc and Audi it's also about a three month wait.
