Quick look underneath appears to be gearbox area, dripping oil from gearbox under tray
Panic is it the Auto box dropping oil, has the oil cooler pipe got damaged
Called the AA , great responce (30 mins)
No, it the aircon pipe says the man in Yellow, after removing the under tray the oil was running down the chassis and innner wing from a point in the engine bay where the two aircon pipe pass the inner wing.
LR obviously knew this was an issue, and fitted a 4 inch piece of protective foam to help the wing avoid rubbing through the pipes, but this had failed and the oil from the air ocon system was the culprit.
Why on earth are these pipes situated where they can rub against a body panel seam?
Has any one simular experience, if not check the state of your pipes now, this happened after 64,000 miles!!

I had my aircon pipes fixed last year, just under the front left wing up under the sill
I also had Aircon man around yesterday. there was a hole 1mm diameter in the metal pipe just under the rear left hand door, and two more leaks under the left front door.
The pressure was zero. the hole was so big that when the chap put gas into the system to check for leaks, a huge cloud of dust and hissing came from under the car and masses of dirt and stones dropped down. it didnt take much to find the problem
He re piped the entire length from front to back with flexible pipe..
took him from 17:00 - 22:00 yesterday evening.
Mine was due to all mud and clay etc collecting between the two pipes..Duncan

He did mine last Friday when I was near Bristol - recommended.
I required a "NASA" invented pipe joiner splicing into the front pipe under the nearside front passneger footwell.
He is very conscientious and does not rush his work.
All in for 3hrs work - including pressure test, leak detection, repair, aircon service, full suction drain, and refill was £160.

yep thats hime - i had one of those NASA things as well, to fix the massive 1mm hole in the pipe.. then he had to scrap it when 2 more leaks showed up when he regassed. the first hole was so big all the gas was escaping from that hole.
been using him for a few years now...
he said he had done a D3 on friday - same repair as he did on mine last year...
perhaps Martin could approach him as a sponsor Duncan

It's corrosion (probably from the inside) behind mud flap area on NSF and only if you have rear aircon. Look for 2 pipes one thick one thin that go into some foam sheath. You only need to check if you have lost aircon, and I suspect you won't be able to see anything as mine required an inert gas pressure test to find it. Not surethere is any prevention, corrosion could be helped on teh outside with waxoiling, butmuch of th epipe is behind a rubber cover.
