Guys,
I've noticed that some D4s are badged "SDV6" and others "TDV6". I had thought that the SDV6 was fitted only to the Commercial spec and had a 210bhp engine, with the rest of the range (GS,XS,HSE) being badged TDV6 and having the new 245bhp engine.
Have I got it wrong ?

SDV6 is MY11
TDV6 is the 245 BHP MY 09 and 10
The commercial and lower spec D4's prior to 11 have the lower BHP engines.

I think the only difference between the 3.0 TDV6 and SDV6 is that the SDV6 has a dpf
I have owned both and subjectively the SDV6 feels smoother and quieter Illegitimi Non Carborundum

SDV6 on my MY10, but has TDV6 on the V5 document

10MY 3.0 TDV6 - 245 BHP
10MY Commercials 2.7 TDV6 same as pre 10MY
11MY SDV6 - 245BHP 3.0 TVD6 all with DPF (optional extra for commercials)
11MY Commercials TDV6 - 210BHP 3.0 TDV6 with DPF

I may be wrong here but after MY10 all 245bhp models were badges as SDV6, the TDV6 indicated it was a 211bhp model. Club Exped trailer

Thought all HSE's either TDV6 or SDV6 were all 245 bhp and it was lower spec models that were lower BHP, other posts on here about it and BAS put the details up about chassis numbers and identifying the BHP. MY12 D4 HSE

The engine ident badges changed for 2011MY so all 2010MY D4 HSE's would be labled up as TDV6 but have the same power output as the 2011MY SDV6
.....confused as a second hand D4 buyer ? ...you will be  Existential Phenomenologist.
