USB stick is the best bet as it doesn't rattle about like an iPod. Haven't looked to see what thevdifference in functionality is though other than the ability to shuffle tracks. From memory, you dont see much of the song details on the iPod anyway. Disco 4 HSE SD V6

Does anybody know if the LR iPod lead is still needed on 2012MY D4's ? It still appears as an option on the LR website configurator ("iPod Connectivity Lead for Portable Audio Interface", under Information, Communication and Entertainment options) but my dealer is telling me it no longer seems available for him to order (not sure I 100% trust this....)

According to the dealer I spoke to it now uses a normal USB iPod lead (they've completely changed the manufacturer for the ICE system). Also it's not an option on the 2012 spec sheet. Thanks for that...
I've ordered a cable - now just found that voice commands dont work either!! 3 day old vehicle..
Off topic a bit, but spent this weekend on the northern fells crawling around peat bogs and mine dumps. Never missed a beat - not an inch of wheel slip, superb. I have to say it performs better off road than my D3 did - by a long chalk. Dont know why, but its superb...
