That's interesting that they are now offering a factory fitted tracker. It's about time that manufacturers did this, rather than aftermarket or dealer fits. I wonder how much they charge for the annual fee. I bet a lot more than Tracker or RAC TrackStar!Matt

They seem to be using the alarm/tracker/immobiliser from Auto-txt
http://www.auto-txt.com/home.php
Apparently it uses owner's mobile phone via Bluetooth as a "key" to arm/disarm the system.
Strangely enough the price for full system, I found on the some other site, was £699 rather than £999 But possibly it does not include the yearly subscription.
Has anyone who ordered MY07 car got this option? Interesting to hear any opinions...

Glad I got my 'S' when they 1st came out... its nearly SE spec bar the sat nav and was a load cheaper
Current (or new) machine is now lower spec for nearly the same money. Looks like I'll keep her for as long as I can. No upgrade for me if this is the way they 'upgrade' models.
Usually manufacturers add equipment year on year... not LR obviously.

Dealer has told me that Land Rover watch is a dealer fit option on 2007 Model year cars. 2007 Model cars have the necessary wiring for the system and the dealer fills in the gaps hence the dealer woolworths pricing of £999.99 where as a factory option would just say £1000!

One more interesting thing is that at the bottom of the release where all models are listed, Xenon headlights are included in XS spec....

the introduction of electric power lumbar support to the driver's seat where memory seats are specified; and a premium navigation system now with the option of hybrid television, capable of receiving both analogue and digital TV signals, priced at £500.00.
Wow, suddenly £999 for installation and first year of subscription does not look bad compared with prices there
Useful info as well, thanks

if it's dealer fit, its unlikely there will be any additional buttons on the IHU as this would require an engineering upgrade to the software - and an exchange IHU, too much going on data-wise to trust it to the average spanner-monkey IMO.
It is possible that the buttons will be there on all variants with the hi-line audio as a 'teaser', thereby generating dealer fit opportunities, well that's how i'd do it
I dont remember seeing the buttons in the 07MY owner manuals though
