Parrot MKi9200
I've had a search through the forum and got into quite a muddle in relation the fitment of the above.
I need a handsfree kit for the discovery and have more or less settled for the Parrot.
I have found a company on the internet who will supply for just over £200.
This includes the extra leads specific to the Discovery 3.
My question being to the people who have fitted one to their motor
Would you recommend it, did you fit it yourself is all the wiring contained at the back of the dash apart from the mic?
Any pics of where you fitted the screen and remote
Really I'm driven by the price, would love the genuine land rover gear but its just too pricey.

I had a parrot 9200 in my D3. Stupidly went for a factory Bluetooth in my D4.. big regret. Parrot works really well, easy to use..don’t have pics but the screen I had just in front of and to the left of rev counter. Mic up by the rear view mirror.. parrot is really easy to use, phone book easy to access and dial from

I’ve got that one in my transit, I’m really happy with it. Does the job well. The sound quality when streaming isn’t as good as a cd is but it’s not bad either ! I’d say it’s worth the money.
Also I I know it’s not disco related but I fitted it myself easily inside of half hour.Jarrod

I had one fitted when I bought my disco3 about 8 years ago, never let me down, just make sure you replace the battery in the little remote control, otherwise highly recommended.Nick

I wonder if we will get the usual question about the kit not powering up, or will this be the exception

Sorry to burst your bubble but the kit I bought came with 3 extra leads that replace the Parrot lead, to allow wiring into the rear of the Stereo.
Worked first time and impressed with the quality of voice calls.
For £208 and less than 2hrs of my time to install, I'm happy.
Managed to run and hide all the cables making for a very tidy job.

Whilst mine has hands free Bluetooth anyway, I did fit the Parrot to my previous car, a Jaguar X type and I found it to be a good system, the bonus was it would connect to two phones at the same time and as I had a work and a personal mobile, meant I could answer either phone without any problems. Now I’ve retired, it doesn’t really make a difference anyway, but there you go!

I fitted one in my D3 without extra cables, there is a guide on here, do a search, the sound is very good but the downside I found was it takes several minutes to load your contacts every time you get in the car and the phone cannot be used while it does this.
I eventually took it out and fitted a D4 module, it's a head and shoulders above the Parrot, near instant connection, saves your contacts in it's memory, perfect clarity, uses all the existing buttons and Mic, works better in a D3 than in a D4 IMHO.
Have a talk to "Wiggs" before you buy a Parrot he will supply everything. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Hi. I gave another try to fit mki9200 to my Disco 3. Got this expensive Land Rover Harmon Kardon MKi direct input lead 10-325A fro incartec shop. Plugged all together easy but there is some problem? Couldn't be too easy.
I can:
1 connect phone android and iPhone to parrot
2 stream music mp3 from parrot to car speakers (after press AUX button on radio)
3 stream audio (mp3, spotify and youtube) from my one plus 5T and iphone (after press AUX button on radio)
but can not receive and make calls thru Bluetooth????
When call is coming I can see on radio screen PHONE MODE sign and Parrot shows incoming call but no sound at all. (same android and iPhone) did reset settings parrot, reconnect and pair Bluetooth, reset phone settings, reset car etc. No luck still. Tried to update parrot but has newest software v2.20 already.
I have no idea whats going on with this parrot and discovery relationship? Parrot used to work fine with my old Passat for last couple of years. Never had any issue.

when playing music etc, the audio is going into the Aux port.
However when a call comes in, the the headunit displays PHONE MODE, it is expecting audio though the smaller connector on the back of the headunit.
Where the parrot is shoving the audio I don't know. But not where the head unit expects it.
or just incase it is an easy fix, when the headunit displays PHONE MODE turn the volume up on the head unit to at least 10

Unfortunately does not work. Volume level over 20 still no sound.
