help needed to remove the tow bar after leaving it on for several months but the key will not turn tow bar is free enough to rotate the locking mechanism but need to get it off for transfer to new disco my 12 any help would be appreciated

Would suggest repeated soaking with WD 40 including squirting some into the lock mechanism itself with the thin red tube that comes with the can. wrap a rag around it when its in the garage/drive to help keep the WD40 in place.

I'll second both those tips - worked for me last winter!! Just be gentle turning the key (and vicious with the hammer once it's unlocked ) Proud owner of a true 'One in a Million' Discovery!

cheers chaps got it off using all of the above and working they key backwards and forwards will watch out for it next time i think about leaving it on.
