A sad day :-(

Today I waved my D3 goodbye Big Cry Big Cry
I bought it when I was doing hundreds of miles a week (or even a day). But for the last few months it has done a very round nothing, so I decided it was time to part with it and handed it back - pointless paying for something that is doing nothing, so goodbye, farewell.

I will miss the comfort, the space and the robustness, plus that magic grin.

On the bright side I do enjoy not spending huge amounts of money on fuel tax, that's the only one.

One day I hope to rejoin the D3 (or maybe by then the D5?) owner's clan, in the meantime I trust you will allow me to indulge in watching your trips, trials, tribulations and joys via this forum, and if you see me at an event perhaps you would offer me a seat so I can relive some of that joy again.

Bye Bye, D3, but not Bye Bye D3.co.uk

With my current "commute" being about 20 yards I'll let you take a guess as to my shoe size.

(No prizes for getting it right, or wrong...)

You're a braver man than I Big Cry . Even on the days it doesn't get taken out I just couldn't part with it, my Disco and my Shepherd, both completely irreplacable .. Oh and just in case she peeks over my shoulder any time soon swmbo of course goes without saying. Laughing

I hope your new shoes turn out to be reliable and don't need version 2 soles or the stiching needs replacing , you could mod them though with fancy laces and .....stuff Very Happy

All the best, glad you're staying around though despite the temporary (cause you know one day it'll bite you again) Disco shortage Thumbs Up

I'm already contemplating the prospect of suitable footwear for the winter snowbound walk to the station.

Then there's the footwear for summertime jaunts to the supermarket....

Its just as bad as choosing the right tyres for a D3.

Now what about remapping - not even ventured into that territory yet

I probably have spotted you, only forgotten when, or been avoiding scrote in Citroen Micra...

Now got more time to admire the scenery so I might even post the odd "spotted" Whistle
