Although that works, for safety you should ALWAYS put it in off-road height!
If I could think of anything intelligent, poignant or witty, I'd put it here !!!

I've got a Costco Jack, F'ing heavy, but f'ing strong! Also has one of the adapters 25mm hole on mine. Thumbs Up
me too - my adaptor doesn't fit but the costco jack has a big fat soft rubber saddle on it so it doesn't really matter - just stuff it under the wishbones at the front Steve N | 2008 TDV6 SE Auto | Was 2006 TDV6 S Auto | Club Tunisia | Am I Online?

You should always JACK in Offroad height if jacking under the Suspension/Axles as Tyre firms do and yes leave the boot open. This way the Suspension/Axles are in the same place but the wheels cannot drop down and so car can be jacked off the floor very quickly. Its recommended by Land Rover.

yes you can:

put in high position, parking and parking brake ON.

Place an suitable jack under a recess that is at the center of the triangle of the suspension arm (one wheel at a time, one arm at a time,at the front and the rear arms you can find this recess), and pump until the upper part of the jack just touches the recess (Just touches it). get out of under the car and select access height. the car will sweety goes down and the wheel will go up leaving enough space to interchange wheels. it will elevate this particular wheel and leave more than enough room to be happy working on it. NO AUTO EXTENDED HEIGHT auto selects in this way. suspension thinks all go ok, you only uses the geometry of the new supporting point to your benefit. no damage.

i use this steps to change my summer wheels to winter wheels, mud wheels...., used a looot of times. zero fails.

IT WORKS AND CAN BE DONE SAFELY

Bookmarked this thread as CUCO's technique sounds interesting! Anyone else tried it yet?

If you want to change wheels without using any jacks, this is how you do it.
