I'd say you'd have to change the gearbox, surely? 59 D4 XS (2.7 TDV6 6 speed Manual) Commercial (UK spec) with extras such as Premium Navigation.

They are only cosmetic items - more bling. You need to have a Drive Select rotary knob already, as in MY2012 Discovery 4. MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

I actually like the current shifter. This seems more like a downgrade than an upgrade. Discovery 4 SE Long range fuel tank Kaymar Rear Bar.

I've been in my MY12 for a week now and have to say that I would prefer a 'nob', the rotary shift is ok but I think it's a bit of a gimmick, I can't believe that there aren't better up-grades to sink your money into.

Not necessarily, when you take the stick shifter out there will be a small hole, just drop cogs for 7th & 8th gear through the hole and then screw replacement rotary knob into hole. 12 D4 Commercial SDV6
