You are entitled to return the goods, if they are not a stock item then they can charge you a handling fee
I'm going to mention the restocking fee and see if that's agreeable with them. If we can agree an amount that's fine by me. If not ill just take them unfitted and they'll go in the garage till later. Just have to make sure my new planned D4 has 19 inchers. Lol.

I'm unsure, I didn't really look that closely, I got out and saw the gashes in both tires. Then arranged for the tow truck to take it there to LR. Going to have a good look when I get them back though.

I would like to formally retract my statement on wrangler tyres having just acquired the second puncture this month
that's another 3quid down the drain that's six pounds in total this month on punctures alone, thats on top of the 50quid to fill the tank thats more than 10% of my running costs on tyre repairs....what an expensive car to run It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

Very prone to punctures. Cut the sidewall open of one of mine in the first week of owning the D3. "A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both- and deserve neither"

To be fair to the poster, if he asked them to look at the car for damage and they agreed a price to do the work then I don't think it's unfair to cancel if they change the terms of that work.
Using the logic stated so far that he is out of order, how about the fact the dealer should have inspected the wheels properly before doing the quote. The contract was in reality to put the car back on the road, so the dealer has broken that but changing the contract and now saying it needs new tyres. It would be much the same as saying the engine needed a new water pump and then saying to the customer it needs a new engine instead, I am pretty sure you wouldn't expect to pay for the unfitted water pump. Certainly I wouldn't do that to a customer.
