Winter Readiness

As for what goes in your car over winter, having spent a very cold night on a blizzard swept and closed M42 and a few hours in the NEC the following morning when I was 18 I am a believer in having a winter bag.

Mine contains: A sleeping bag, change of clothes, spare walking boots. Hat and Gloves. Trangia Stove, tea bags thermal mug, matches and a ready to eat survival meal + mars bars. 1.5Ltrs of water. A torch, toothbrush etc. Warning triangle, jump leads and a scraper + a spare mobile phone and different network provider sim. ie my work phone is vodafone so my spare is orange with a £5 on it. I got stuck because of all the abandoned cars around me, nothing to do with the wide tyres and huge turbo on my Dads Cosworth....

It's all in a sports bag and since being overnighted, I have never needed it. Rolling Eyes

When the weather is grim, I never go below 1/2 tank.

Just remember in the UK we are Cr*p at dealing with stuff like this !!
