| 05 plate hse does it have handsfree!? |

Hi, just bought an 05 plate hse and I'm wondering if the stereo has handsfree I can plug into!? There is a phone symbol on stereo but nothing happens when I press it, I have a blackberry phone and tried search for any devices via bluetooth, just wondering if I'm doing anything wrong?
Any help be gratefully appreciated.

If it has it will have the red and green buttons on the steering wheels ,however it does not sound like it has also a car of that age should have a phone connector in the centre cubby if it had a factory car kit fitted.

The phone button on there is just to mess with your mind, unless you have the red/green paddles. It's like the letters on the number keys making you think you can text, LR are just messing with you.

phone kit was not standard fit until the 2006 model year for the HSE - I don't believe it was available as an option either for the 2005 model year.

i have them too, im trying to find the code to pair my phone now tho, but it was at LR a few days ago for a free update so im hoping its not gonna knack owt up.

I've got a 2005 HSE with the red/green paddles. Some issues with my Blackberry and the bluetooth, I need to upgrade the software I think. No phonebook comes up with my Blackberry and I have to put in the 2121 code every time to pair the phone, not ideal but quality good when connected.

I have been onto LR customer services on several occasions about bonding issues with the factory fitted blue tooth kit and phone compatibility.
Phone software is being updated every 2 months approx and LR are not keeping up with these changes, in fact no blue tooth updates have been released from LR in the past 12 moths that i am aware of as i have been nagging them to keep up with the changes in mobiles.
From what i gathered from yesterdays conversation with a very helpful Cuts Serv adviser is, LR are not interested in software updates for the Disco3 module which is a bit of a disappointment as I'm such changing handsets trying to find one that has full functionality in the vehicle.
My phones latest software update still work with he car but, as soon as i accept the cars request to access the phonebool, the connection only lasts 2o secs then the phone is dropped from the system. I haver to then manually go into the phone settings and manually pair thee phone to the car. But gain this only last for 20 secs, so either the phone is useless or as i suspect, the LR BT module is useless as it isn't communicating of there same frequencies as the phones BT. ATB
